WALT : work collaboratively to solve a mystery

This task was  very simple to do with a friend. This task was to work together to find who stole someone's Ipad and to show our teacher we could collaborate with others. My group collaborated alot by talking to eachother and asking questions and we became a group cause the robber story was quite tricky to do alone.  We had fun disagreeing and agreeing with others also finding clues. Morning math game ( alien math )

 (this game was very fun to experience and I really think most of you would like it too.

this Task was shown to me by my teacher Miss Donaldson while she tested some children on our gloss

Alien math is a game including maths, decimals, and multiplication.

you play as an alien in a UFO and is losing gas slowly. to prevent yourself from losing

gas you need to find the answers to the question it shows at the top middle. it shows you your

score next  to the question bar on the right and on the left you will see a red chart that is the gas to the

UFO. You use the arrow keys to move around and to guide your UFO to go the right way and to collect the correct answers. fuel will go down faster if collected the wrong answer and your game will end with you score. If you need help finding the app its down below in the comments and at the end of this blog post. If you do find the game try and beat my high score. high score is 90.

Science project

We did a science project containing boiled cabbage juice. We used basic, acidic and neutral substances to change the colour of the cabbage juice. If I added an acidic substances it is most likely to turn pink. If added a neutral substance it is most likely to turn blue. Lastly if added a basic substance it is most likely to turn purple. I really enjoyed this experiment, I hope you do too.

Writing a scary fiction

Today miss inspired us to write a recount about a spooky picture. we had to figure what happened before and will happen after. We had to hook the reader and to get them intrested. my teacher said she was stunned and horrified of this scary story I wrote.

“Ahhh!” Lily shouted for help and begged the mysterious man for mercy. She started to try and squirm out of the mans rough hands but this man never showed her compassion. The more she annoyed him, the tougher his hands started to spin around her until the limit was reached and she started to get strangled. Will she survive. . .?

Time was flying by, as Lily waved goodbye to her parents, she was going to school. Lily had hesitated to step inside the school bus, with millions of kids. She had a fear of staying away from her parents, she never felt comfortable being so far away from them. After that horrible bus ride, Lily jumped off the bus and ran to her friend James ( 15 years old ) .She hugged him as tight as a cobra until he had figured who might have done so. “Lily are you still scared about leaving your parents?” James asked softly. Lily shoke in fear, she regretted going to school but then “ding ding ding !” the bell rang so james walked lily to class.

 After 7 hours in school james walked with lily to her house because she was paranoid about going in the bus. She hated going in there. After the long walk Lily ran inside calling for her mom and dad. But instead of seeing them she smelt a horrifying smell that was repulsive until she saw the two in the hallway, with a large hole stabbed through there hearts. Lily screamed and cried. james noticed the scream so he ran inside but what he saw was unbelievable. he called the ambulance for service. Lily fainted, close to the dead corpses of her parents.The ambulance arrived and james told them what happened and so the family of lily's house hold was rushed to the hospital.

 Lily woke up with a blurry bright light flashing in her eyes. She saw a lot of doctors and nurses surrounding her. Then her memories quickly rushed back to her and she sat up looking around. She panicked, and asked “Where am I and where are my parents?” A doctor suddenly walked in and told her exactly what happened.”I'm sorry for your lost your parents morgue, but your parents have been killed by a large object, known as the man of the woods. He aggressively stabbed them, and left their corpses in the hallway of your house. Investigation has been done around your neighborhood, so you have to stay with one of your friends,james decided to take care of you. he is waiting outside for you with some food.” Lily rushed out of the operation room and saw the food in James hands, she quickly sat down and ate the food. James woke up to see her eating and he smiled. Then after Lily finished eating, James grabbed Lily's hand and they walked home and slept.

Lily had a nightmare about her parents, she was really scared. She didn’t like bad dreams so she went to look for James. She saw him in the kitchen. She peeked through the door, to see James arguing with his parents. “She can’t stay here James, we can’t produce enough food for everyone!” Roared James mom “We can't take care of both of you, James you're a troublemaker yourself” exclaimed James dad. Lily heard everything she felt so sorry for coming home with James but those words that came out of James mom and dad's mouth hurt Lily, she got hurt so much. She ran to the house door, leaving with a giant slam, and nearly breaking the house door. James and his parents heard that she left, they looked out the window to see where she was going. She had went to the haunted forest. James ran after her, fearing of what might happen.

Today we learned easier ways to do division questions so its not hard to figure them out
this was my favourite way of learning my divisions.

our teacher told us that multiplying two numbers and there both containing decimals are really easy
so we did it and decided to do a DLO about it to show everyone that this can be really easy.

Mahaleah and I were taught how to use decimal points in class and now we understand  fully and we hope to never struggle in this kind of maths problems.

My first impression of " hour of code " was very fascinating to know that our teacher had brought up something different that the new students ( including me ) had no idea of until miss allowed us to have one game of hour of code it was hard at first but soon I got better at it but I still think I can achieve to be faster than I already am.

In the holidays, I would wish to go to hamilton to spend a week with my aunt, uncle and a few of my cousins, then spend another week with my family and my brother.

Body :

In 4 weeks time it will be the holidays and once it starts i will be packing my bags to go to hamilton to live with my cousins for a week . In that week with my cousins i hope to go to the beach or pool because of how hot the weather is, Then on Tuesday i would love to go to the warehouse and see all the fascinating things because it's in hamilton and the warehouse is huge. After one week at my aunt and uncle's house I want to go back and play around with my brother and take him for a walk or a ride around glen innes and grab some food to relax my mum, and dad. In my mom's pay day I wish she gets some money so we can all go for a walk around the park.

Conclusion  :

And that is what I wish for in my perfect holiday.

Sharing and caring is the right thing to do in all times, because you could share everything like you're education or your lunch and it could give you a lot of things back when you need it . Like if you share your lunch for a day to a person and come back with no lunch tomorrow they will share with you for what you did to them yesterday and if you share education to a person they will share it across the world.  The Japanese quote, “ give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, but teach a man  to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime ,” is a good example to follow.

Skipping is great for all ages

I think skipping is great for exercise for adults and children and you can spend your time having fun in the sun. Its also a good way to learn tricks and you can share that trick with others.

Netball coaching

Today was our first day of netball practice with our classroom, and we were coached by two kind ladies who helped us do four different passes, shoulder pass, overhead pass, bounce pass, and chest pass.

I really like netball as a sport and that is really fun. The easiest are the passes, but a few things I want to learn is the rules, how to block the ball and how to take the ball,

I hope we get the training that we need and I really want to be in a netball group when I get older.Kayla Cullen is my ideal, she is a great netball player.

My trip to the movies

Intro :

I had an amazing time watching an adventurous movie with my dad, and I was extremely happy and grateful that my dad took me to the movies in sylvia park.

Body :

In my holiday my dad woke me up, and told me to get up, but i didn't know why, so I got dressed, and got into the car. After that my dad took my mom, brother, and nana to the preschool so they can teach the preschool, but instead of me going out I stayed in the car and me, and dad went to the movies to watch Guardians of the galaxy. I was so excited while we drived to sylvia park and soon after that we got there and we went to hotes the movie place It was amazing. After that my dad brought all the tickets and all the food while I played in the arcade winning some prizes. Soon my dad held all the food and i helped him and we walked to the movie room it was so dark but so cool then the movie started. One hour later and the movie finished and the place started getting packed with more and more of people so we quickly got out and looked around sylvia park although i saw things that caught my interests but sadly we had to go but my dad saw how I wanted all those cool things i wanted and saw we had left over money and brought me some cool items that I really liked. Finally I had all my stuff and we decided to go and pick up my mom, nana, and brother and then drove back home with a guardian of the galaxy tin and our day was amazing and when i went home I told my mom and the people i live with all about it .

Conclusion :

And that is the best day i had on my holiday.

Intro :

On friday 24th march , We had our annual swimming sports day at school and it was fun.

Body :

In week two Mr hendricks invited some experts in swimming so they could teach us some skills and technique for our swimming sports day competition.

It was fun doing all the practises, but it was hard doing the actual swimming competition, I was nervous but excited.

After we got changed into our togs we walked to our school pool and sat down, I sat next to my family and friends. First was breaststroke and it was hard i didn't even know how to do breaststroke but i came second, and in freestyle I came in second but yr 6 girls didn't get to do back stroke or butterfly but I was still happy.

Conclusion: I hope I get better at swimming

There was a little deer who wanted to cross over a huge lake,but he couldn't because it was to deep but then he came up with a plan.

He saw a crocodile drifting over to the shallow bit of the lake and the deer came up with an idea, “ Hey crocodile, do you have a family?” Yes I do and my family is huge.” replied the crocodile “ not as big as mine.” and they argued until the crocodile brought his family and the deer counted them. While they were in a straight line he made it to the other side by walking over then.

The deer laughed and walked away safely.

Carlo and Kylie were siblings and decided to ride their bikes and skateboard to the park  but then saw a school bully pumpkin, and things didn't go good after that.

Body : “Wait up Carlo” kylie shouted as she started to speed up to carlo and told him to slow down next time but didn't hear and went for a ride around the egg.half an our past, as he saw Kylie coming he thought he could do a final trick around the egg so he went for it but then BANG he flew off his skateboard because of a small rock, “ Haha guys look and superman” yield pumpkin everyone crowded and laugh at how he fell but then Kylie came and asked her big brother for ice cream and pumpkin and the crowd laughed even louder but then Kylie stood up for her brother and said, “ What you laughing at pumpkin head” the crowd gasped and walked away but pumpkin was angry as could be and stomped in anger but then Carlo came in the middle of it and said “stop fight she's younger than you” then pumpkin chuckled he was going to say that she was but thought that would make it worst. “ I CHALLENGE YOU TO A FISHING CHALLENGE!” shouted kylie “ oh on kylie isn't  great fisher she got fooled by dad she will never win” so he thought and the all had one week to practice so Carlo went to his best friend carl for his best friend and he said he would find an idea to stop pumpkin from winning. After a week it came to be that carl was the judge but pumpkin was confused why do we need a judge? No questions it's the biggest catch and it will start in an hour so everyone scrambled to get there fishing rod. An hour past and pumpkin  got a flat fish and Kylie got a small fish so she used that new fish and threw it in but a seagull close by snared it and the had caught it and carl and carlo rushed to set it free. It was time for the Judge to pick and he picked Kylie because it was to catch the biggest not to catch the biggest fish.
