Multiples, factors and primes.

Multiples

What is a multiple?

       - A multiple is when a number being divided results into an answer with no remainder.

       -It can also be the multiplied results (cant have remainders/left overs) 

       - The multiple is the answer to the factor

N O T :                                                                                         M U L T I P L E :

7 ÷ 8 = 0.875                                                                      20 = 2, 4, 5 etc

Factors                                                               

What is a factor?

       - A factor is the numbers that lead to the answer

       - the Equation

A Factor = 2 x 10 = 20  

20 is the multiple

2 and 10 are the factors of 20 

Prime 

What is a prime?

       -A prime number is a number that can only be multiplied by itself or 1!

Example = 7 x 1 = 7
