I wont be posting things as often anymore. My Chromebook was broken and since I took it to our main school technician for it to be checked out it seems to be making my account play up. Meaning I cant go into the Summer learning Journey to see the task without leaving my account and coming back. I also cant go into google drive and some other things relating to things I use in school. The posts are going to slow down and will probably take me longer. Just telling you so people don't think I just don't want to do summer learning journey. I will be posting but ill go slower then normal... Id also like to ask for a favor... Can someone ask Mr ramkolowan if he could get my Chromebook back? My parents have already chosen what they want to do with my Chromebook but I cant contact him because I cant log into gmail. If someone from GI school or people apart of the Manakalani could do this for me that would be amazing! Thank you for reading this post! So all i'm going to do is comment on other peoples blogs. Thank you again for reading and hopefully I can get my Chromebook back. Thank you!

S.L.J (day 2) UP IN THE AIR activity 2: One Small Step for Man
Leaving my family,
space seems clammily.
stepping out with curiosity,
Not much of luminosity.
I see nothing but the universe.
Wishing I could reimburse.
After spending some hours
I wished to return to a bed of flowers.
So I rushed back to my ship.
and get a grip on how much oxygen im using.
I calm myself and take my time
to think about soda lime.
I jump in my way home
and return to my favorite garden gnome
This is my Long poem about me if I was travelling to the moon! Sorry there wont be any photos...I had a really good plan about it too but there's something to do with the Chromebook... Kinda sad about it because I wanted to add a photo for every fourth line and I cant do that without google draw so here is a photo of proof that somethings wrong and of course the moon
Again like I said, sorry for not making the PROPER blog post

S.L.J (day 1) Explorers Activity 3: Scaling new heights
For this blog post we had to write about a charity group that we support.
I chose to talk about OXFAM. They help support people all around the world who believe that everyone deserves a voice.
They are a group of trustworthy people who are willing to help with many problems even with climate change. On their website they talk about taking a stand and talking bout inequality. They also provide facts about problems in the world such as livelihoods and emergency response. This team of helpful people have an area that shows you there life changing achievements and warnings. I believe that we should help this organization help others so please help and donate.
Do you like this post?
If you do check out a classmate of mine, his work is amazing and is what helped me with mine so if you have time check him out like the other post the link is at the bottom!

S.L.J (day 1) Explorers 2: discovering Aotearoa
This blog post is about my cultural background but since its cyber smart ill try not to get to much into personal details
I am both Samoan and cook island. My mother being full Cook Island came from arorangi and plays netball with her island friends. My dad on the other hand is Samoan and works on computers and other devices. They both were born in New Zealand and taken to various areas in the world. Me being there older child being there child enjoy both sports and experimenting with hardware and sports, and like I said in the beginning I am both Samoan and cook island.
One of the traditional things we do is Christmas. We call it something different but our last name is there so we are gonna call it Christmas. For this we wait on Christmas Eve until Christmas day is here for us to open our presents. We do get a range of food and when we finish we grab all the foods we like such as fish or poke(its technically bananas but pronounced poh-keh). We also have kids sorted into age groups so its easier to buy presents. Though what makes this tradition more important to me than my own birthday is my people. Its the one time we all come together and hang out for a day. Im positive that other people agree that its amazing to be surrounded with family members that dont visit as often as others.
(im stopping there cause I already shared myself and my parents culture)
Yes that is basically me and my parents culture! its kinda awkward sharing to the world my culture because well I dont want to get to much in detail but this is all the things you need to know. Thanks for reading this and finding what I have gained from my parents. Also if you have time check out Rosalili from Panmure bridge school her discovering Aotearoa is amazing so check her blog post in the link below!
S.L.J (day 1) Explorers 1: Setting sail
1. Oranges - they taste good and provide juice
2. Apples - they are healthy
3.Bread - theirs a lot of it in one packet to last me a few days
4. Jam - Don't want plain bread everyday
5. Cookies - need to even healthy food and sweet food
6. chocolate - I want sweets when sailing somewhere else
7.A lot of water - im sailing on salty water that I cant drink so I need this
8. tomato - its healthy
9. Can of spaghetti - I can eat it whenever if I bring a can opener
10. canned pineapples - same reason as number 9 and I just like pineapples
I chose all these but really it depends on how long you spend on the sea. If your stay on the boat is long then you should buy canned things that you dont mind eating cold because they last longer. If you noticed I actually just did 2 of every food aisle. red is the fruit, orange is the sandwich, green is sweets, blue is liquid or things that produce a lot of juice and purple is canned food. I couldn't pick specifically because of time so I just did this. If you think differently send me a link to your blog so I can see what you would bring :

Khan academy
Khan academy was the 3rd assignment that I had to do to improve my future :D
It wasn't so hard, miss did not assign me any work to do so I just did courses that khan academy provides for free. It was fun and I finished the unit test YAY.
If you would like to try, your teacher could make accounts for all of you.
10 seconds of math (aka mental math)
Today at 9:30 I played a game called 10 seconds of math. It's one of our ways to test our math knowledge. We get ten seconds to answer questions designed from what you choose to do.
Its also a fun way to waste time with math.
If you want to test your brain with this site click all the 6 cubes and move the number limit to 1000. Its sure enough to test everyone's mind.
:)

Khan Academy
Today I did a khan academy. Khan academy is a learning site where your teacher gives you tasks to do. I found it really easy and fast to move from task to task. Sometimes you have to watch videos but other than that the site is really simple.

Collaborative mystery solving - The Liars clubs
Today on july the 2nd at 12:13 we finished a collaborative mystery solving. Collaborative mystery solving is when a group of 2 or 3 get together and work out a mystery. You have to read the text carefully and make inferences from clues.
The problem was 6 valuable dices that belonged to debra's grandfather had been stolen. We were given 4 suspects to examine. Olivia, Luke Debra and the butler.
Olivia didn't steal because she had a bracelet that made noises when she moves her hand. Debra didn't do it because she was holding the detectives hand. Luke couldn't have done it because he had mustard on his hands. The only person left is the butler who was wearing gloves to cover up his finger prints. \
Me and my partner aka Tatyana found it interesting, competitive and fun. We enjoyed it and hope to do more later on in the year.

collaborative problem solving
Today we did collaborative problem solving with my friend tatyana!
To be honest we both found our tasks really easy, we got confused ONCE, but we
recorrected ourselves. I hope R.U.C.S.A.C helps you in any other mathematical problem.

Hit the button
Today we played hit the button. It gives you choices to pick what you want to be tested on. (maths related tests) then you just follow what it says and it gives you a time and gives your results afterwards. I found it really easy because it gave me direct orders that were easy to follow. It's also a great way to spend your matical time. If you want to play, click Here
Free rice
Today my reading activity was free rice. This site, from the infomation I picked up, gives grains of rice to the poor each time you get a answer correct. If my theory is correct then I say it's a totally necessary to do this every day. Or to do this daily.
Can you beat my score? its 900 grains.
if you get higher then congratulations!
(but don't cheat if you cheat no congratulations to you)
Times tables test
Today we did a times tables test to test our knowledge on multiplication. I found it easy and better to do then just to say it out loud, trying to remember them. My time spent on this game was worth it and well spent. If you have trouble multiplying then i'm sure this is going to improve your mathematical knowledge.

International woman day
Today is international women's day and we all (including boys) had to do a few activities. I found it a bit easy and to be honest I actually enjoyed it. It was a very educational task and from doing this I understand that it isn't good to be a man hater and we all looked at the bad points of being a male.
(the men looked at the bad points of being a female)

DLO Math
So today we were doing DLO math and we did a stredigie. So first I did adding the 10 and 15 x 5 and it gave me 35 and then I doubled The 2 makes me 4 and then I doubled the 4 and I gave me eight and then I kept on going and the last number was 64 and then I did the same to the others and they were all less than George’s. So George has the most out all of them in about six weeks.

E-ako DLO
Today our classroom registered into E-ako to do some maths.
We had the choice to pick multiplication or addition.
I chose addition and the game was educational and fun.
It also tells you your progress. It's a good site for classrooms to use.
I enjoyed it and hope I progress in my maths, not only in addition but in measurement and everything else.

On your blog, tell us how you would solve this tricky maths problem. Be sure to also post your final answer in days or weeks.
Let’s imagine that we tested the air in your classroom and found 7 different kinds of mould. Eek! The cleaner says that it takes 5 days for each mould to be eradicated (removed). If the school had to remove each mould one at a time, how long would it take to remove all the mould from the classroom?
5 x 7 = 35
35 divided by 5 = 7

Day 1 week 3 = Togs or trackies = activity 1 SLJ
On your blog, tell us what time of year you think is best for tourists for come and visit. Be sure to share at least three things that tourists could do while they were here in NZ.
I believe that tourists should come in winter.
In winter there's hot water pool in rotorua the thermal pool. It would be so calming and relaxing. If the tourist is not a psychocentric and instead is a Allocentric (definitions will be after the text) Then the best thing they could do is go skiing and snowboarding at ruapehu. It is an incredibly fun activity to do in the winter. If the tourist is more of a celebrational person then theres always maori new year. They do fireworks and have large feasts that you can buy. Not only that but on some events they even put up a little show. Lastly if the tourist just has nothing to do and there attracted to the ocean, they can always go whale watching. It's always so magnificent watching the whales swim. It only depends on what the tourist likes.
Definitions:
Psychocentric: A calm and steady person
Allocentric: A extreme and adventurous person

2) The location of the rivers.
3) What is being done to clean up the rivers (if anything).
wairua river
Kaipara harbour
Using different solutions ( Using different types of liquids ) to increase sediment and improving the ecosystem.
Kaipatiki river
Auckland city
local communities are planting the banks and cleaning the area
Day 5 week 2 = wasting away = Activity 1 SLJ
What do you think about this rule? Is it fair that people are charged up to $100 000 for overfishing? On your blog, tell us what you think about this rule and why you think it!
It depends on the situation and the marine life in the restricted area. I think if an area is over-fished, there must be enough signs and awareness that its a restricted, overfished area. The fine should suit the crime. The reasoning for this is because I believe if you are starving and are just grabbing 2-6 fishes to feed your family, I think it should be a cheap fine and not $100,000. it's like buying food for $100,000 dollars. That's why it should depend on the situation for the fine.
Day 4 Week 2 = picture perfect = Activity 3 SLJ
On your blog, write a short story about what you think is happening in the picture. Be sure to tell us where you think the people are and what you think they were doing at the time that they stopped to pose for the selfie. To earn full points, the story must be 8 – 10 sentences long.
I believe this photo was taken in venice, the floating city. Venice is a area in italy.
While taking a turn following her tour guide she decided to stand on the edge to take a gorgeous selfie. Featuring the floating city behind her. It was probably very horrifying but this is NOT a selfie. Why? Because a selfie is a photo of an individual, like a face portrait. But clearly that's not a face and its taken by someone else. To add on this would be a good photo if she wasn't wearing heels.

Day 4 week 2 =Spectacular, Spectacular = activity 1 SLJ
On your blog tell us which of the three options you would take to explore Milford Sound. Be sure to tell us why you have chosen this option.
I would prefer to take a helicopter. Why?
Because if you walk you may get lost plus the time may take longer.
There won't be any point since you'll have to come off some time, to explore.
A helicopter is a perfect way to explore, to take in the beautiful sighting of the land.

Day 3 week 2 = The midnight zone = Activity 3 SLJ
On your blog, tell us how you will solve this maths problem. You can write your answer in words, use a Sketchpad image or post a video explaining how you would figure it out. Be sure to give us your final answer.
500 Kg = squid
25 Kg = Adult
15 Kg = child
Adults - - > 25 x 20 = 500
500 Kg = squid
25 Kg = Adult
15 Kg = child
Adults - - > 25 x 20 = 500
I decided adults should carry the squid. You don't need kids, but to combine.
children -->15 x 30 = 450
Adults ------->25 x 2 = 50
add the two quals 500 yay

Day 3 week 2 = Night owls = activity 1 SLJ
On your blog, tell us whether you are a night owl or an early riser. Then, tell us about the rest of your family. Are they the same as you?
I am a night owl, I spend my life in the dark and sleep in the day. My household is the same. My grandmother, my dad, my mom, me and my brother are all night owls and are different to the rest of the family. My moms 3 brothers and 1 sister are all early risers. So one fifth of my family is night owlers and the rest are the early risers. To tell the truth our night owls are divided by the ones who can wake themselves up, and the ones who sleep for hours. The adult females usually wake up first. My dad, my brother and I, we can sleep for 12 hours in the day, without noticing. Even if the lawnmower man was working in our backyard, we still wouldn't notice. Unless someone was forcing us to wake up.Which is usually my mom.
day 2 week 2 = stranger than fiction = activity 3 SLJ
On your blog, list three similarities and three differences between the two plants that you chose. To earn five extra bonus points, post a picture of both plants on your blog..
Day 2 week 2 = Mighty Mangroves = activity 2 SLJ
On your blog, tell us about this person. Who are they? Why are they, in your opinion, so strong and tough?
My character is Groot.
A small animated and incredibly adorable small twig. He's literally a small stick turning bigger, and saving the galaxy. Groot was the one who helped make thor's hammer, Groot was the one who set Rocket (the raccoon) and yondu (the guy who kept starlord away from his actual dad) free. Groot is also kind hearted and even sacrificed himself in GOTG (guardians of the galaxy) Vol 1. That is when he was reborn. He is strong and is always able to return to battle. Adding on he only speaks groot.

Day 2 week 2 = Fabulous Flora = activity 1 SLJ
On your blog, tell us whether or not you would like to try flax weaving. Does it interest you? Why or why not?
I actually have already try weaving, but I would love to weave again, but in a more comfortable area. May Be near a waterfall, or near the ocean, or on a hill. It would be so calming to weave there instead of a classroom with no open windows. My favorite part of the lesson was listening to the history of the weave basket. Its was so interesting, and the activity itself was amazing.
If you would like to make it yourself I believe this link to making a kono (food basket) is helpful
(this is not my video, Its youtube channel is craftlab nz. There youtube channel is great.)
