Day 5 week 2 = wasting away = Activity 1 SLJ

What do you think about this rule? Is it fair that people are charged up to $100 000 for overfishing? On your blog, tell us what you think about this rule and why you think it!

It depends on the situation and the marine life in the restricted area. I think if an area is over-fished, there must be enough signs and awareness that its a restricted, overfished area. The fine should suit the crime. The reasoning for this is because I believe if you are starving and are just grabbing 2-6 fishes to feed your family, I think it should be a cheap fine and not $100,000. it's like buying food for $100,000 dollars. That's why it should depend on the situation for the fine.

I love the thought that you have put into the scenario in this blog post. I agree that $100000 is a HUGE amount of money to pay, especially if you are not well off and already find it difficult to buy food.

If a large company is caught fishing in overfished areas do you think they should be charged $100000. Is that enough? Surely they know that it’s overfished and that they aren’t meant to be there?

I look forward to your response,
Izzy

Hola Izzy,

Im glad you also think that $100,000 dollars is to much for the people who have problems paying for food. Also for your question I believe 100,000 is to small because there a large company and 100,000 is to small for them. To make sure they don't go fishing there again I believe that they should pay double or triple. Though it depends on how much fish they caught.

Have an incredible day
Eden
