Day 2 week 3 = flying fungi = Activity 3 SLJ

On your blog, tell us how you would solve this tricky maths problem. Be sure to also post your final answer in days or weeks.

Let’s imagine that we tested the air in your classroom and found 7 different kinds of mould. Eek! The cleaner says that it takes 5 days for each mould to be eradicated (removed). If the school had to remove each mould one at a time, how long would it take to remove all the mould from the classroom?

5 x 7 = 35
35 divided by 5 = 7

Thought provoking post Eden...lets hope that doesn't become a reality this year and the classroom is kept clean and tidy! Great to see you blogging over the summer - keep it up

Hi Eden!

Oh easy peasy!! What a mathmetician! :)
Do you enjoy maths in school?
What is your favourite subject?

Imagine if this did happen - a whole extra month off of school!
Would you like that or are you looking forward to going back?
I used to love the school holidays, I never wanted to go back to school (even though I didn't mind school) - It was always nice to say hi to my friends but after that I wanted to be back on holiday! :)

Hopefully you are looking forward to this year at school Eden, I am sure your teachers have some amazing things planned already!

Nga mihi,
Ellee :)
